Question

Does the brand (company) have a published list of direct suppliers, that have collectively contributed to more than 90% of the purchase volume?

Background

One of the ultimate (and unusual) ways to boost transparency is to share the supplier list with other brands (as usual within most MSI’s) or even better, to put the list online. Some brands like Nike, Nudie Jeans and H&M Group have done so, and that is why we endorse this gesture as a ‘best practice’.

Ranking Guidelines

You can reward a ‘Yes’ if the list is not older than 2,5 years and is most likely to cover more than 90% of the brand’s total production.

Answering guidelines

?:

  • Although [Brand] uses the Track & Trace system of MADE-BY, it is not clear what percentage of suppliers this covers.
  • [Brand] does not provide a significant list of direct suppliers on its website.
